I have not had any issues with them. Got some cedar by the foot this summer, we had a bit of a mixup in type but was able to get it sorted out no issue. They have a great hardware supply section and lots of great products for decking, roofing, etc. A good go-to before the big box.
BEWARE: There’s a reason why there are NO positive reviews for KITCHEN VIEWS! (the cabinet design service at National Lumber, Newton) We had a similarly awful experience to Ashleigh’s from 8 months ago. Last September, upon installation of our master vanity, we discovered the double sinks didn’t align with the faucets. At first, since it was due to their error, the manager, Bill, was conciliatory. He agreed to re-make the vanity, which now had to be custom-built to fit the plumbing. However, he refused to cover the expensive re-installation costs. (The lowest bid we could get was $700, all others were at least twice that!) Rather than doing the right thing, Kitchen Views took the unethical action to back out entirely. At first refunding only our costs for the cabinet, necessitating us to fight for the cost of the quartz countertop, which we finally received. They even took our vanity back to the showroom to use as a display model! Ultimately, the total replacement cost to us was $1,100 more than the first one, as a consequence of Kitchen Views’ extremely poor response. That’s a big chunk of change! We waited 3 more months to replace the vanity, with a much more beautiful, custom-built cabinet by Brighton Cabinetry, designed by Fitzgerald Stone, Peabody. Beware: this 1-star review is justified. Use anyone else but Kitchen Views at National Lumber for your kitchen or bathroom cabinet project!
I tired to shop there and a woman named Tracy from paint who tried helped me. I didn’t know they moved to California paint. It is obvious she doesn’t know much about paint or customer service. She gave me bad advice and a fake customer service attitude. Is she new to customer service?
Excellent experience using this location. Great staff all around (mostly dealt with contractor desk) and they have a large drive-in lumberyard with dedicated pickers who brave the elements. Much obliged! Will definitely do business with again.
Great Lumber yard. Exceptional service and good pricing. Highly recommended.
Great local hardware store with helpful folks. They do a lot of commercial/contractor supply work as well.
I have had a terrible experience with National Lumber. My husband and I bought extremely expensive Omega cabinets through them that came damaged. Some of them came without paint on them. Some of them came with wood that was bowed and not sanded properly. In the beginning, they were very accommodating. Now Bill, the manager is demanding that we pay the rest of the balance before they will come out and fix the problems. We currently have cabinets that are painted two different colors. We have cabinets with huge bows in the wood that cannot be fixed. My husband and I have been going back and forth with them for months. I have taken several days off of work for them to come out and look or "fix" the paint issue. They came with the wrong paint color which is why we currently have two colors painted on our cabinets. They are not willing to take more than $2000 off of our bill which is ridiculous given the amount we paid and the way our cabinets currently look. I would not recommend them to anyone. This has been a horrible experience and we are not even done yet. The cabinets are not even worth half of what we paid and we are extremely disappointed. When the repair company came out, the truck leaked oil all over our new driveway and we now have a stain. They have stopped responding to our emails. Do not use them!
Great place, you can find anything related to construction 👍 …
